Brown Smokey Eyes

Posted by Jade Green , Saturday, June 19, 2010 4:10 AM

I love this look. It is very flattering for all eye colours, natural and at the same time it give your eyes a sexy smouldering apeal. Here are some step by step photos to help you create this look!

Start off by applying a wash over your entire eyelind. Here is am using Shadow Minerals by Loreal Paris. This eyeshadow is great because you can apply a wash or make the colour more intense if you wish. This colour is very milky but has a yellow glittery tinge to it

The next step is to apply a chocolate brown shadow to the outer corner of your lid in a "<" shape. doesnt matter if its messy or thick. the thicker and darker you make the "<" the more smokey your look will be

No take a soft fluffy brush like this one......

and blend, blend, blend! you can blend it out pat your eye and up into the crease or Hollow of your eye socket like ive done here.
The next step is the repeat the last set with a richer terrocatta chocolate colour just to add more warmth, as you see in this picture.

So now use an angled brush

and apply a very dark chocolate brown eyeshadow to the upper lashline as close as you can get it to your eyelashes, this will be your eyeliner. if you would like the eyeliner to be darker or more intense dip the angled brush into water first it will also last longer this way

Line your lover lashes as well. you can put this on your water line if you like, but if you have sensitive eyes i dont recommend it.

Next using the same fluffy brush blend and blurr out the eyeliner line. by using the same brush you are adding more colour to the lower lashline and smoking it out for a smouldering look :)

apply mascara of your choice and finish the look with powder, blush and lip stick or gloss!

and there you have it!

Eye Lash Extension!

Posted by Jade Green , Friday, June 18, 2010 6:11 PM

Eyelashes are a great way to emphasise your eyes! you can make your eyelashes longer, fuller and more curled! There are plenty of salons now days which will apply Eyelash extensions for you. But  today i have decided to do it myself and show you how simple it is.... :)

Ok so this is my eye, with no make up at all! my lashes are quite long, but as you can see im a natural blonde so they are very fair!

These are the lashes that im using today they are 1000 HR individual lashed and i think the length was med-long. i go them on sale for $5! and the colour is black.
They come with their own eyelash glue so everything is in the one pack!

open the packet and select your eyelash, with tweezers. try holding the lash as close to the bulb as possible for better control!

apply a small blob of glue to the bulb of the lash

Using Tweezers direct the lash as close to your lashline as possilbe ( this may take some practice! ) hold there for a few moments then let go. i have put a 3mm gap between each lash so they look more natural.

i have decided to do, only 1/2 lashes today as it looks more natural! but if your feeling more out there go for it and do the lashes along your entire lashline .
once the eyelash is in place own lashline use the end of the tweezers and gentle press the eyelash in place and hold for a few secons so the glue dries.

once it is completly dry ( wait approx 5 mins to be safe) curl your lashes.

and there you have it! not only does it make your lashes darker but fuller! ( this is with out mascara)

and with a bit of make up you can have beautiful dramatic yet natural lashes!!!!

Silky straight hair! HOW TO

Posted by Jade Green 5:41 AM

Silky straight hair looks beautiful! it reflects light and makes your hair apear shiny and very glossy! here are some step by step pictures to achieve beautiful smooth hair!

As you can see my hair is naturally quite wavy! ( also i have no makeup on as i like to do my hair first and then apply makeup!) Apply heat protectent cream/spray when you hari is wet, and if you would like to increase the skin add some serum! Ive used
Edgy smooth and grume as my heat protectent cream! it give your hair heaps of moisture, and keeps it well hydrated!
the next product i used layered over the top is Moroccan Oil! it give your hair a beautifull gloss and tames all the frizzyness leaving it silky smooth!
Blowdry your hair, start with your roots dry them completely first then move onto your mid lengths and ends. keep the blowdryer pointing down this will ensure the cuticle is keeped as smooth and unactivated as possible! i personally dont use a brush i do it by hair as when you straighten it, your hair will be smooth anyway! if you are using a brush becarful as your hair is very fragile when its wet and can break easily if pulled.

make sure your hair is bone dry before starting to straighten! is your hair is still wet it will sizzel and fry your hair, causing massive split ends!

i prefer to start on the side of my head, work to the back and the the last side at the ends. this way you have better controll of your hair and its way easier! section on the first side and flick the rest of your hair back over your sholder. working with 2cm approx centremeters at a time! brush the section first to remove all tangles and the run the iron from root to end. you dont have to squeeze the iron really hard, if you have a good iron gently run it over the hair at a moderate pace and let the iron do the work!
See how glossy it is! i use a GHD iron they are the best in my eyes!!! HIGHLY RECOMENDED
move up the hair section by section. when you come to the fringe brush it out ( if its a side or middle part) or straight down ( if its a full frige) hole it with your fingers and insert the iron at the roots and run it down your hair
when ironing your hair, hold the iron on a slight curve ( inwards to your face). this will keep the hair sitting inwards and make it alot more smoother! continue though out the whole head. section by section the smaller the section the smoother the result! also dont move onto the next section untill the first section is the desire result!!!

WA LA! beautiful gloss smooth hair! looks natural and flattering! ENJOY and GOOD LUCK!
